Day 49 -53 San Jose (do something local)

I was back in San Jose, but this time fighting off jet lag. In about a 4-5 days we had special birthday coming up. I realized one of the best ways to really know a place is to plan a party! I got involved in planning and preparing for the birthday of a dear little one. I tagged along to find cake, food/caterers, decorations, gifts, clothes/dresses. When you go looking for the best you venture into local pastry shops, malls, different restaurants, local stores etc. So I was stepping out of being a tourist.

Finally all arrangements were made and I had lovely time at the party with family and friends. While traveling when you start doing day-today stuff one starts to belong to that place, I was feeling like a local. After a hectic week we rested the next day. It was raining most of the day and winter had begun that meant the clock was pushed one hour in advance which made the days shorter.
